Proud to be an Indian..???

Every time we talk about India each one of say I AM PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN.

Well yes why not we should be proud to be a part of a nation who was once called golden sparrow , where people of different culture stay together celebrating different festivals say Holi Diwali Eid Christmas Lohri regardless of being Hindu Muslims Christian or Sikh, where family values comes first , where still elders are respected and taken care of and children are still loved and where every child runs to his or her mother when any troubles comes to him or her.

As every coin has too sides our country too has and i wanna ask you all , " Are you proud to be an Indian? "

Idols of goddess are worshiped in India and

Women are disrespected in India.. 

and yes i am proud to be an Indian..

Female child is killed in the womb of mother..

Either the mother keeps her for nine months or few months ,

She has no power to save her daughter..

and yes i am proud to be an Indian..

All her rights are given to the boy..

She is not allowed to attend school..

There is no point of investing money in her studies ,

She has to be married one day and only kitchen is the place for her..

and yes i am proud to be an Indian..

She is not allowed to be late at night..

She is not allowed to roam outside..

Just because animals are out on hunt..

and yes i am proud to be an Indian

She cant wear skirt she cant wear shorts..

She cant wear sleeveless she cant read your thoughts

And eve teasing is what she face day in and day out..

and yes i am proud to be an Indian..

If her tone is high she is offensive..

If she fight in self defense she is stopped..

She cant say no..

She cant complain..

And in the end acid is her only fate..

and yes i am proud to be an Indian..

She is burnt for dowry..

Abused by men..

Beaten like animal..

Trafficked by people..

and yes i am proud to be an Indian..

She is killed..

She is raped..

All her voices fades..

She cry becoz she is betrayed..

She beg for mercy..

But all her efforts go in vain ..

and yet we say "" i am proud to be an Indian"..

India, a place

• where a 5 yr old kid is raped
• where little boys point pistol on women in the metro station with the intention to rape her
• where human trafficking is going on
• where dreams of a newly wed women are burnt in fire
• where female foeticide is still followed
• where eve teasing is prominent
• where acid is thrown on girls face if she disagrees or if she is adamnat
• where no one helps a girl if she is lying nude on road
• where no one calls an ambulance if someone is bleeding to death

India, a place where people are treated like animals...

You still feel proud to be a part of this India?

India our mother and yes we are still proud to be an Indian..
